Has anyone been watching Paula Abdul's new show Live To Dance??? Everyone who truly knows me know that Dance is my Heart. It was my very first start as an Artist at the ripe old age of 4 (or 5...actually I cant remember how old I was but what I do remember is Tap Class with Ms. Montgomery and Jazz with Ms Denise Ward Pryer at Detroit Windsor).

Anywho...I went twitter crazy when I learned that my childhood friend Brandon "B Hobbs" was on the show. Brandon is such a BEAST!!!!! I remember learning my first Jitting routine in my sister's garage on Piedmont from him when the Candy Boyz was practicing for some battle. I wonder if he remember that... (Wow... the memories...lol)


Anywho...


Ive been watching Brandon from a far for a very long time now and I was so proud of him on the show. Unfortunately, they didnt keep him on long enough to really see how DOPE this guy is...but soon the world will see. 20/20 VISION

The first month of 2011 is almost over already! At the top of the year, I put together my Vision Board and I'm sure most of you did the same (Isn't it so much fun!!!). A month ago, I had a long conversation (via email) with one of my close friends William, whose studying over in the UK, about a project God assigned to me and as William was helping me plan the beginning stages of it, he said something very valid to me about some questions that I needed to answer:

 He said, " this is what separates the inspired from the prepared...the inspired have great ideas; the prepared understand how to translate that into reality."

Now as much as I had heard that...just worded in another way...it really hit me in a different way when he said it and allowed me to change the way I attack the things that I am inspired to do.

When I did my Vision Board this year, I had the VISION on one board, and the PLAN on another...after all...it only make sense to plan for all of the things that I am praying for right....reminds me of the scripture "Faith without Works is Dead" (James 2:20). I also made sure that the things on my Vision Board lined up to the thiings God wants for me....talk about getting out of my own way...no sense of praying for something that's not in God's will...

This is the year of Maturity....

HE'S ABLE

OK OK OK....I promise my blog won't be full of Deitrick Haddon entries...lol...but this song gave me so much life this morning...and that D Haddon Clap is priceless...One thing I know about God is that he is not a liar and there is no GOOD thing that he is gonna withhold from us. (Psalms 84:11) There is another scripture that I like and its in 2 Corinthians 1: 20  "For all the promises of God in him are Yes and in Him Amen." God has promised me some things that are mind blowing...and eventhough they seem unreachable and unimaginable at times...because I know that he has promised them to me...I live EXPECTING him to show his glory...and that right there brings me so much peace. For the last 6 months or so, Ive really been on this journey to have Sustainable Prosperity...and when I say that I don't mean Financially only...I'm talking about all of the fruits of the spirit...love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22).  I no longer want to ride the roller coaster. I want to have all that was promised to me and to make sure that happens, I'm gonna do my best to get connected and STAY connected to that which will bear fruit. In John 15:5, Jesus says "I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." Then when I read a few verses down in Verse 7, it says "If you abide in Me, and My WORDS abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." WOW! Its that SIMPLE! So I guess if he SAID IT....THAT SETTLES IT!

I hear the story behind this song comes from a night when Some Christians rented out Club 112 (famous Club in Atlanta) for one night just to Praise God! I so wish I was there! Can't wait until February 1st when his Album Dominionaire hit the net!

From the looks of it, Scripted Programs are coming back and that's exciting because it means more opportunities for Actors! (Let's just hope real Actors who actually work on their craft everyday gets cast...and not Reality Show Stars). OH HOW I CANT WAIT UNTIL TONIGHT FOR THE SEASON PREMIERE OF THE GAME ON BET!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! All of the characters are so three dimensional, the writing is awesome and I LOVE me some Malik! (Dont Judge Me lol...I know he is a mess but I love it ha!) I'm gonna be tuning in to the show in my hotel bed....(I've been snowed in Atlanta for the past 3 days because of 2 inches of snow!!!!!SMH

ITS A NEW YEAR!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLES'!

ITS 2011 and I am sssssooooooo excited about this year!  In 2010, I brought it in with a few colleagues in Toronto, ON while working on a musical called Virtuosity. Once the show closed in February, I took some much needed time off and hid somewhere where no one could find me for about 4 weeks. I was moving way too fast and I needed to hear from God. To make a long story short, God gave me everything I needed and as I look back at 2010 I must say...it was GREAT! I made a basket list of my accomplishments in 2010 (shout out to @imkeepingup for the Idea)...

I FOUND MY NEW CHURCH HOME ABUNDANT LIFE FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER. I would visit this church a lot while attending Perfecting Faith's Church in Long Island. PFC was a phenomenal church, great Bible Teaching, great people, but the commute from NJ to Long Island was a JOURNEY that I could no longer take. One day I went to see my Pastor from Detroit ( The AMAZING Marvin Winans) preach at Abundant  Life and afterwards I had a thorough conversation with him about....a lot....but he helped me make the decision of joining ALFWC and it was one of the BEST decisions of my life. The Word being taught is VALID, the Worship experience is UNBELIEVABLE and the people are KIND, NON JUDGEMENTAL and ANOINTED! Our Pastor @gcsearight is a Intelligent man of God with a youthful spirit! Did I mention our first lady Pastor Mary is THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!! All that to say...I'm happy to be a part of a great ministry.

I COMPLETED MY FIRST BIATHLON! 14 Miles of Running and Biking with my crew! When the shot was fired to take off, I thought " wow this is gonna be a piece of cake" until 5 minutes into the race when I looked back and no one was behind me lololololol...but I kept it moving and completed in less than 2 hours! The best memory was having my friends run the last few feet with me until I made it across the finish line..I LOVE MY CREW!!! We Run Brooklyn...LITERALLY!

 I CAME TO KNOW GOD IN A MORE INTIMATE WAY! Its nothing like getting to know God better than before. I am forever working on my relationship with him. I am so BLESSED to know him and even more BLESSED to know that HE KNOWS ME and CALLS ME FRIEND! :-)

Am I the only one excited about Oprah's new Television Network OWN?  Just the title inspires me to walk in EXCELLENCE and accept what God has called me to do and OWN It! Ok...maybe I went too far lol...anyway.. I think this new Network will be refreshing...

The show Im looking forward to seeing the most is Oprah Presents: MASTER CLASS.(Sundays 10/9c) The Title of the show is so HOTT!!!!!! We will be able to hear from famous people who we all love respect and admire talk about their successes, failures, triumphs, disappointments and heartaches... THE GREATEST GIFT

Welcome Everyone!
I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and blog....Its nothing too intense...just tons of fun. Who knows how long this will last.(My friend William Bryant Miles gave me til February lol)...Im just an ordinary girl from  Detroit  who moved to DC who moved to Philly who moved to Jersey but claims New York because it sounds cool ....
